Josh Davis was born and raised in Downtown Los Santos San Andreas. He grew up in an unstable household because his parents had a difficult divorce.
When Josh Davis turned 17 he left college and enlisted in the United States Army in 1987. He finished his military training in 1989 and became a Combat Engineer. In August 1990 Davis was deployed in Operation Desert Storm to assist the EOD team with taking out Iraqi placed mines and defences. In december 1990 he was wounded during combat when his convoy was ambushed by a blue on blue situation. His best friend Daniel Booker was killed in action.
In 1991 when Operation Desert Storm ended Davis left the Army but stayed as a reserve and followed a career in Fire Fighting. He joined the Blaine County Fire Department in 1993 And passed the acadamy and probation in 1994. He was assigned to Engine Company 14. In 2000 a captain spot opened up and Davis decided to go for it. He was worked very hard to get the job. Out of 26 people he was given the job. He was assigned to his old crew of Engine 14.
In 2001. After 9/11Davis was called to go back into active duty. He was given permission by the Blaine County Fire Department. In 2003 He was deployed to Iraq to assist a Special Forces team in Baghdad. He was given multiple medals for his actions. In 2005 Davis fully left the Army and went back to his carreer in the Blaine County Fire Department. he Kept the rank of Captain I for a while.
In 2007 a devestating explosion at the Stoner Cement Works killed 17 firefighters including the Fire Chief at that time, Timo Harrison. Davis wasn't on duty during that call because he was out with his wife for his honeymoon. When he heard about the news he was devestated. He immediatly went home to help the rescue party.
In 2009 Josh Davis was promoted to Fire Chief to continue the legacy of Timo Harrison.
Due to medical issues, Josh Davis stepped down to allow a new chief to take over in 2024.
